PRIVACY & DATA USE

Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 23, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Lighthouse Financial Strategies (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and discloses personal information in connection with thebucketsguy.com and related online services.

Personal information we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect identifiers such as your name, email address, postal address, telephone number, IP address, and online identifiers; information about services requested or considered; browsing and interaction information, including pages viewed and how you reached our site; approximate location derived from your IP address; communications you send to us; and preferences or inferences derived from this information.

How we collect information

We collect personal information directly from you when you contact us, schedule a meeting, request information, or submit a website form; automatically through cookies and similar technologies when permitted by your privacy choices; and from service providers such as analytics, advertising, scheduling, hosting, and communications providers.

How we use information

We use personal information to operate and improve our website and services, respond to requests, communicate with you, deliver requested materials, perform analytics, measure and personalize advertising, support retargeting, maintain security, and comply with legal, regulatory, compliance, and record-retention obligations.

Website forms and the Retirement Health Scorecard

When you request the Retirement Health Scorecard through the exit-intent popup or another website form, we collect the name and email address you provide. We use that information to deliver the requested Scorecard, communicate with you about your request, and send occasional educational content from Lighthouse Financial Strategies. You may unsubscribe from educational emails at any time. The Scorecard and related communications are educational only and are not individualized investment, tax, legal, insurance, or other professional advice.

Please do not submit account numbers, Social Security numbers, passwords, tax documents, detailed financial records, medical information, or other highly sensitive information through an ordinary website form or email.

Cookies and tracking technologies

Necessary technologies are always active because they support security, accessibility, navigation, forms, and basic website functions. Optional analytics, advertising, retargeting, session-replay, heatmap, and chat technologies load only after you provide the applicable consent through our cookie notice or Privacy Choices panel.

You can review or change your choices at any time using the “Your Privacy Choices” link centered at the bottom of our website footer. Rejecting optional technologies will not prevent you from using the basic website.

Analytics and advertising

With your permission, we may use Google Analytics or similar services to understand website use. With your separate advertising permission, we may use the Meta Pixel or similar technologies to measure advertising, create audiences, personalize advertising, and retarget previous website visitors. These providers may receive device, browser, IP-address, page-view, and interaction information under their own privacy practices.

Disclosure, sale, and sharing

We may disclose personal information to service providers that process it on our behalf and, when you permit optional technologies, to analytics and advertising providers. We do not sell personal information for money. Under some privacy laws, certain advertising or retargeting disclosures may nevertheless be treated as a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. You may opt out at any time through “Your Privacy Choices.” We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age.

Nothing in this Privacy Policy authorizes disclosure of nonpublic personal client information in a manner inconsistent with applicable law, Cambridge Investment Research policies, client agreements, or required written authorization.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live and whether an applicable law covers our activities, you may have rights to know about and access personal information we collect, request deletion, correct inaccurate information, opt out of sale or sharing, opt out of targeted or behavioral advertising, and limit certain uses or disclosures of sensitive personal information.

We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right. Privacy requests may be subject to identity verification, legal exceptions, financial-services exemptions, and regulatory recordkeeping obligations. Where permitted, an authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf, and we may request proof of the agent’s authority.

How to exercise your rights

Use the “Your Privacy Choices” link in the website footer to change cookie categories or opt out of advertising-related sale or sharing. For access, correction, deletion, sensitive-information, or other requests, email mike.moss@lfscompass.com or call 330-758-7545. Please describe the request and provide enough information for us to verify and respond to it.

Global Privacy Control

We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) opt-out preference signal. When a browser or extension sends a recognized GPC signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of advertising-related sale or sharing for that browser. Advertising and retargeting technologies remain disabled for that browser even if a prior advertising choice was stored.

Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here and to satisfy legal, regulatory, compliance, dispute-resolution, security, and record-retention obligations. Information may then be deleted, de-identified, or retained as permitted or required by law.

Data security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards intended to protect information. No electronic transmission or storage method is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children’s privacy

Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided personal information through this site, please contact us so we can review and delete it when appropriate.

Third-party websites

Our website may link to third-party websites and services whose privacy practices are governed by their own policies. Content provided through links to third-party sites should not be considered an endorsement of content, which we cannot verify for completeness or accuracy.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the effective date above.
